Alex Vazquez

Alexander Vazquez is the Champion of Awesomeness, more formally known as Raleigh’s Strategy & Impact Manager. He is passionate about improving governmental operations and fostering partnerships to promote quality service delivery to Raleigh residents. Alex spends his time managing the City’s strategic plan, providing general strategy and performance management support to City departments, and evaluating ways to tackle some of the biggest issues impacting City residents and employees.

Alex earned his Master's in Public Administration from the School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his BA in Public Policy from Duke University. In his free time, Alex enjoys grilling, trying new restaurants around the Triangle, and dabbling in landscape photography.
