Low Water Level Notice for Boat Launching

Stage 3 – Red

Due to low water levels and drought conditions, ramps will be closed to trailered vessels on Lake Wheeler. We will allow car top launches. Trailered Vessels that can be hand carried will be permitted. Water Levels have dropped more than 2ft.  Staff will continue to monitor water levels. Patrons can contact the park office or visit Parks Alerts | Raleighnc.gov  for the most up to date information.
