Old Deer Trail Sidewalk Project

We are installing a new sidewalk!

The Old Deer Trail sidewalk project was initiated as a City of Raleigh Sidewalk Petition.

We installed a 5-foot sidewalk placed 3.5 feet from the back of the curb from Mourning Dove Road to just north of Apple Orchard Way.

We will install a 5-foot sidewalk placed 3.5 feet from the back of the curb from Mourning Dove Road to just north of Apple Orchard Way.

There may be adjustments to the sidewalk to avoid major impacts in certain areas as needed and determined by our engineering staff.

Next Steps

 

The project is out for construction bids, and construction is scheduled to start in late spring or early summer 2020.

Our construction contractor, JSmith Civil, started construction activity along Old Deer Trail. Crews have completed installing the new sidewalk.
