Lions Park Community Center has reopened. This project improved accessibility at the front entry, in the restrooms, and in the locker rooms. The gym flooring has been replaced. Also, the gym is now heated and air conditioned.


History

Lions Park was created in 1951, and covers 41.4 acres in northeast Raleigh near St. Augustine’s University and downtown. The community center was built in 1961. Lions Park Community Center hosts recreation programs, and includes a gymnasium, weight room, and meeting rooms.
