Construction

During construction, crews:  

  • Installed the construction fence and silt fence (along with other erosion control measures to keep soil on the construction site);
  • Installed a stormwater pipe; and, 
  • Completed the building foundation.

Next Steps

 

As construction continues, work will include: 

  • Building the retaining wall for the training center; 
  • Adding structural steel to the building; 
  • Drilling and installing the geothermal well field for heating and cooling the building; 
  • Installing utilities; and, 
  • Continuing to grade the site for construction.

Renovations

The new 60,000-square-foot center will have all officer training features on one site. This includes everything officer's need to meet training academy requirements.
