Two properties on Hillock Drive flood during heavy rainstorms. The stormwater pipes in the area are too small and cannot handle the amount of runoff that flows through the system.

We looked at several options to address flooding on Hillock Drive. It cost the same to replace the pipes as it would to acquire the property. 

After ongoing discussion with residents, we:

  • Purchased the properties; and,
  • Demolished the structures to eliminate flooding risks in Summer 2021. Permitting for demolition took longer than expected.
