Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources developed a concept plan for a new nature playspace at Durant Nature Preserve. The plan was created with the input of a community survey, City staff, consultant landscape architects, and volunteer consultants from the Natural Learning Initiative. The Durant Nature Playspace will provide a universally accessible space where people of all abilities and ages can come together to experience play, imagination, and exploration in nature. We envision our community brought closer together through shared outdoor nature play experiences that help foster social bonds, healthy bodies, and healthy minds for children and "children at heart."
