Old stormwater pipes along Dorothea Drive that'll be replaced.

Equipment used during construction to the stormwater system on Dorothea Drive.

Dorothea Drive closed for construction.

Background

The stormwater pipes on this part of Dorothea Drive cannot handle the amount of water that flows through the system when there's heavy rain. We are upgrading the system to reduce street flooding in the neighborhood.

At Stokes Street and Dorothea Drive
A new storm drain will help get water off the road and into the stormwater system that flows to Rocky Branch.

Across Dorothea Drive
We will be replacing the 18-inch round stormwater pipe across the road. The updated system includes two 14x23 oval pipes. Going from one to two pipes allows more water to flow through the stormwater system.

Along Dorothea Drive
Right now, the stormwater pipes on the road are different sizes and in poor condition. We'll be replacing this pipe with one that is all the same size so that water can flow more easily through the neighborhood.

This project is separate from the culvert replacement on Dorothea Drive.
