Davie Street Water and Sewer Improvements

Improvement project will replace aging materials to meet future infrastructure capacity demand.

The project consists of the following major construction items:
•Installation of approximately 560 linear feet of 6-inch to 12-inch diameter waterlines.
•Installation of approximately 4,900 linear feet of 8-inch to 10-inch sewer lines.
•Installation of approximately 1,600 linear feet of 8-inch sewer 'Cured In Place Pipe' liner.
•Replacement of existing active sewer laterals connected to sewer lines to be replaced along with installation of new sewer laterals.
•Reconnection of existing fire services.
•Grading, paving, erosion control, site cleanup, and seeding.

Construction

Water and sewer lines are being replaced between S. Bloodworth Street and S. East Street. The water and sewer will be replaced along Davie Street in preparation for street resurfacing between S. Wilmington Street and S. Tarboro Street which is scheduled to start Summer 2022. 

Traffic Impacts:
Raleigh Water will conduct a full closure of the intersection of Davie Street and Chavis Way and the 500 Block of Davie Street between South East Street and Chavis Way in Raleigh NC, at 7:00 AM, Monday, April 25, 2022, for a water and sewer improvement project. Closure is expected to last until 7:00 PM, Friday, May 20, 2022. Parking restrictions will be enforced in designated areas.

Raleigh Water will conduct a full closure of the intersection of Davie Street and South Swain Street, including the 500 Block of Davie Street between Chavis Way and South Swain Street in Raleigh NC, at 7:00 AM on Monday, May 9, 2022, for a water and sewer improvement project. Closure is expected to last until 7:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2022. Parking restrictions will be enforced in designated areas.

Raleigh Water will conduct a full closure of the intersection of Davie Street and South Blount Street, the 100 Block of Davie Street between South Wilmington Street and South Blount Street and the 200 block of Davie Street between South Blount Street and South Person Street in Raleigh NC, at 7:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2022, for a water and sewer improvement project. Closure is expected to last until 7:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2022. Parking restrictions will be enforced in designated areas.
