Currituck Drive Traffic Calming Project

Improving street safety for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists while improving the living conditions for residents along a street

This project includes the installation of traffic calming devices along Currituck Drive from Tyrrell Road to Lassiter Mill Road and sidewalk construction on the northeast side.

The Currituck Traffic Calming Project is a product of the City’s Neighborhood Streetscape Program.

The design elements for this project include bump-outs and medians.  We will also add a sidewalk along Currituck Drive from Tyrell Road to Lassiter Mill Road along the northeast side.

Next Steps

 

A pre-construction public meeting is scheduled to take place in January 2020.
