We replaced a culvert at the intersection of Bragg Street and S. State Street. The pipe carries water through the stormwater system when it rains. It was failing for two reasons:

  • Age; and,
  • A drinking water line was interfering with the culvert, which affected how stormwater flowed through the neighborhood.

This project is complete! During this project, we improved the stormwater system on Bragg Street, which will make it easier and safer for water to flow through the city when it rains.

Stormwater Upgrades 

  • Installed a new stormwater culvert at the intersection of Bragg Street and S. State Street. Instead of two dual 48" x 36" pipes, there is one larger 4.5 ft. by 10 ft. culvert on the road. 
  • Realigned the 48" pipe that carries stormwater from S. State Street. 
  • We also upgraded the sewer system in this area.
