Raleigh Parks Recognized as a National Youth Sports Strategy Champion

Raleigh Parks Athletics Program has been recognized as a National Youth Sports Strategy Champion by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for promoting youth sports.

HHS developed the National Youth Sports Strategy (NYSS) to unite U.S. youth sports culture around a shared vision: that one day, all youth will have the opportunity, motivation, and access to play sports — regardless of their race, ethnicity, sex, ability, or ZIP code.

To help raise awareness about the NYSS and organizations whose work aligns with the vision, the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion and the President's Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition are recognizing NYSS Champions for their work promoting and supporting youth sports.
