Nature Writing: Nature Memoir

Are you interested in exploring nature through writing? This course will cover multiple topics, including but not limited to field journaling and note-taking, basic research skills, storytelling and poetry. This section will focus on writing short memoir and personal essays about nature.

Each class session involves a short walk on the trails of Lake Johnson Park as well as plenty of time for writing and discussion. Suitable for beginners and up. Adults must register with participants under 16. Advanced registration is required. Participants will receive a small, water-resistant notebook. Please bring a pen or pencil.
