Did you know October is Community Planning Month? Planners work to improve the well-being of all people living in our communities. Planning is more important than ever as we grow as a community. We are lucky to have a team of dedicated park planners that are responsible for the planning and development of all City of Raleigh parks and greenways. This month to celebrate we will be highlighting some of our park projects!
Public Art Plan
Raleigh Arts is working on the City’s first-ever public art plan, which will provide new directions on how public art is created for public and private places throughout the city.
Community Connections
Raleigh Parks is working on a Neighborhood Community Connections project. We are looking at places throughout the city that could benefit from a small connection from their neighborhood to a park.
John Chavis Memorial Park: Past to Present
The John Chavis Memorial Park Cultural Interpretive Plan and Exhibit Design project honors John Chavis Memorial Park’s past and celebrates our community. We can’t wait to celebrate this project soon.
