Egg Hunts

Raleigh Parks offers fun egg hunts throughout the City of Raleigh. Get the details about all the different egg hunt events below. 

Moore Square
Event: EGG-sploring History Egg Hunt!
Date/Time: April 2022
Age: 5+
Event Description: Hop through some of Raleigh’s Historic Sites and EGG-splore history with us; presented by the Raleigh Historic Resources and Museum Program. We've hidden 10 giant eggs at some of Raleigh's Historic Sites. Each egg is numbered and features a history fact with a special highlighted word(s). Visit the locations of the hidden eggs in any order throughout the month of April. Once you've found all 10 hidden eggs, the highlighted words will create a final puzzle related to Raleigh's history! Scan the QR code and complete the quick survey each time you find an egg for one entry to win a Historic Resources prize pack. Solve the final puzzle for 10 bonus entries!! It’s EGGS-actly what you were looking for! This activity is best suited for ages 5+ and is free. 

Laurel Hills Community Center
Event: An Egg-cellent Adventure
Date/Time: April 5-10 from dawn to dusk each day
Age: All ages
Event Description: “Hop” on over to Laurel Hills Community Center to take part in an “Egg-stra” Special Egg Hunt from April 5th-April 10th. When you arrive at the Community Center with your team of “Egg-splorers”, pick up a form with hunt details at the front desk with details of how the “egg-sperience” will work. Want to save paper or come when the Center is closed? Use the QR code posted at the front door. If help is needed, please note hours of operation for Laurel Hills Community Center. No baskets are needed – this hunt will not require you to pick up eggs.

Abbotts Creek Community Center
Event: Meet the Bunny
Date/Time: April 7, 6:30p-8p
Age: 12 and younger
Event description: Hop out to Abbotts Creek and meet the Bunny.  Participants will have the opportunity to participate in games and crafts provided by the Raleigh Youth Council. After making your way through the crafts stop for a picture with the bunny and pick up an awesome take home egg hunt party pack.  Look for the Park Ambassadors Booth and meet members of the Parks Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board to learn more about Raleigh Parks.  This event is sponsored by Lions Park, Optimist and Abbotts Creek Community Centers!  Due to the limited number of crafts and goodie bags Pre-registration is required for each participant.

Marsh Creek Community Center
Event: Egg Hunt Trail
Date/Time: April 7, 5:30pm-7pm
Age: 10 and under
Event Description:Basketful o' Fun – Come join us for an evening of egg-stastic fun. Kids will get to fill their baskets with eggs, crafts and prizes while they stroll through the egg-cellent activity stations. Kids will also get an opportunity to get their picture taken with the bunny! This event is free for kids 10 and under but pre-registration is required.

Brier Creek Community Center
Name:  Brier Creek Drive-Thru Egg Hunt
Time slots available:: April 9 with time slots 9:00-9:30am, 9:45am-10:15am, 10:30-11:00am, & 11:15-11:45am
Age: 10 and under
Event Description: This drive-thru Egg Hunt event is safe and fun for the entire family! Try spotting as many hidden eggs as you can along your drive to the center. Then stop by to pick up your very own Egg Hunt goodie bag and take a selfie with Bunny!   Pre-registration for only the children is required! 

Laurel Hills Community Center
Event: Egg Hunt Kit and Craft Pickup
Date/Time: April 9 from 10am-11:30am
Age: 12 and under
Event Description: Pre-register for this event and “A-hunting” you will go at your home this year with our “Egg”-cellent Egg Hunt Kits that will be available for pickup on April 9th from 10:00-11:30am at Laurel Hills Community Center. Each kit will come with eggs, prizes, and a craft for you to create an “egg”stra special egg hunt at home. Pre-registration is required – be sure to sign up for a pickup time via RecLink.

John Chavis Memorial Park
Event: The Hoppening Shell-ebration at John Chavis Memorial Park
Date/Time: April 9 from 11am-12pm
Ages: 10 and under (broken up into 3 age groups)
Registration is encouraged and three slots available based on age of child participating.
Event Description: Grab your family and HOP on over to Chavis Park to participate in an EGG-straordinary hunt along with other fun activities. Young EGG-plorers will be broken up into three age groups (under 3, 4-6, 7-10) to “search” for colorful eggs, hidden throughout their predetermined section of the park.  Delighted EGGS-pressions are sure to be seen as kids fill their baskets with eggs and prizes. Other activities including crafts, free carousel rides, and splash pad will be available to families.

Green Road Community Center
Event: Egg Hunt
Date/Time: April 9, 11am start
Age: 10 and under
Event description: Hop on over to Green Road for an eggcellent Egg Hunt on April 9th 2022. Will you find the golden egg and win the big prize? There will be music, egg races and a make and take craft starting at 11am. The Egg Hunt begins at 11:30am for all age groups. Children will be separated into the following age groups for the Egg Hunt: 4 yrs and under, 5-7 yrs, and 8-10 yrs. Pre-registration is required for each child participating. Don’t forget your basket!

Kiwanis Neighborhood Center
Event: Egg Hunt
Date/Time: April 9, 11am start
Age: 10 and under
Event Description: Hop on over to Kiwanis Park for an egg-citing, food-free egg hunt on Saturday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. (although somebunny told me to arrive early to have plenty of time to park and get ready for the hunt). The eggs-perts encourage pre-registration for our free event to get information on our weather back-up and our raffle baskets. We carrot wait to see you!

Roberts Park Community Center 
Event: EGG-stravagant Kits
Date/Time: April 9, 11am-12pm
Age: 10 and under
Event Description:
Join us from 11am-12pm at Roberts Park to pick up your egg hunt kit and meet the bunny!  Kits will include prize filled eggs, snacks, and a spring themed craft.  Space will be provided for you to enjoy your kit onsite, or you can take it to enjoy at home.
