Downtown Summer Soccer Pop-Up Returns to City Plaza

Raleigh Parks and The Bucy Foundation are partnering for a return visit of the pop-up soccer field in City Plaza on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. The pitch will be installed July 18 and will remain in place until September 6.  There will be opportunities for daily drop in play, youth and adult league play and we are also working with the Downtown Raleigh Alliance (DRA) on a downtown business league.  The Bucy Foundation is partnering with Raleigh Parks and many other organizations to advance their Free Play Soccer initiative of The Bucy Foundation.  Their goal is to raise $2.5M over the next two years to build 25 soccer fields in local neighborhoods that lack access to free-play space. Locating soccer pitches in underserved communities promotes healthy lifestyles and brings together people from different walks of life.  For more information go to thebucyfoundation.org
