The application for the Raleigh Small Business Relief Fund closed May 21, 2020, and 573 applications were received.
As of February 2, 2021, 224 applicants were funded. Of the businesses awarded, over 43% were women-owned, over 25% minority-owned, and over 36% were considered low/moderate income.
The top sectors that were awarded Raleigh Relief Funds include food service and drinking places; personal and laundry services; professional, scientific, and technology services; ambulatory health care services; and miscellaneous store retailers.
Thank you to the 38 corporate donations and 18 individual donations that provided an additional $600,000 to the Raleigh Relief Fund.
