Participate in the City Nature Challenge with Raleigh Parks

Raleigh Parks is excited to announce our participation in the worldwide City Nature Challenge, which will take place from Friday, April 30 to Monday, May 3rd!

Join us at Raleigh nature preserves and parks to identify plants, animals, insects, fungi, and any other living organisms using the free smartphone application, called iNaturalist.

Raleigh Parks will have pop-up tables at select nature preserves and parks to help those who would like to participate and provide support! By using the iNaturalist application to document your observations, you'll not only help Raleigh compete against other cities around the world in the Challenge, but the valuable ecological information collected will help guide local natural resources management decisions and contribute to international scientific studies.
