Raleigh Parks Know Before You Go

Contemporary Dance
Sundays, Feb. 7-28, 2 to 3 p.m.

This contemporary dance class will inspire dancers to be exploratory in their movement by being able to embody various movement styles and emotions. It will emphasize spatial and body awareness, the use of weight, floor work, leaps, turns, and proper body alignment.
Ages: 9-12 years old

Afro-Contemporary Dance
Sundays, Feb. 7-28, 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.

This class will focus on introducing the fundamentals of Afro-Contemporary dance though exploring various rhythms of the body in response to the music. This class will emphasize the use of the spine, pelvis, and incorporate various movements used in social dances.
Ages: 13 and older

Imagination Station - Intro to Drama 
Tuesdays, Feb. 1-22, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. (Ages 6-9) and 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. (Ages 10-12)

In this class students will learn the basics of how to unlock their imaginations. From imagining how they’d escape from a jungle adventure to finding a million different ways to say, ‘I love you.’ Students will participate in imagination and improvisation exercises that are sure to unleash their inner daydreamer.
Ages: 6-9 years & 10-12 years

H2-Woah - The Marvels of Water 
Saturdays, Feb. 6-27, 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. (Ages 6-8) and 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

This class will be covering some of the wonderful things that water does for us every day. Come join us and learn about water properties, the water cycle, bodies of water, aquatic animals and plants, and ways to conserve water!
Ages: 6-9 years & 10-12 years
