21CP Consultants recently presented a report to the Raleigh City Council on Raleigh Police Department’s response to early-summer protests. These protests occurred in reaction to the murder of George Floyd.
During the Sept. 15 City Council meeting RPD presented its after-action report that summarized police activities and the associated response to protests during the period of May 30 - June 7.
In addition to this internal after-action report, the City Manager authorized a contract with 21CP Consultants to conduct a review of policies and procedures associated with RPD’s response to the protests. The purpose was to assess the tactics used and the RPD response to violence and criminal activity that took place during the protests.
21CP recently completed the assessment and review. At the Nov. 10 City Council work session, the company presented the report along with its findings and recommendations. Read the report or check out the PowerPoint presentation.
