Bandwidth, Inc., a global communications software company that has called Raleigh home for 19 years, announced in early April an expansion of its headquarters with 1,165 jobs that will generate over $100 million in capital investment. The average salary of the new jobs will be $96,000.
The company has played a critical role in the development of communications for global companies such as Google, Microsoft, Zoom, as well as others. Bandwidth has grown to over 750 employees with offices in Denver, Rochester, and Raleigh. The new headquarters will be located in Northwest Raleigh at the corner of Reedy Creek and Edwards Mill roads
"Our City and our world are going through an unprecedented challenge," said Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin. "Despite this, companies like Bandwidth still want to grow and expand here – and call Raleigh home. We appreciate this commitment to grow jobs here, as well as the company's philanthropic spirit and its leadership in the innovation space."
Key partners in the project include the City of Raleigh Office of Economic Development and Innovation, the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Community College System, North Carolina State University, the Capital Area Workforce Development Board, Wake Tech Community College, the Wake County Board of Commissioners, Wake County Economic Development, and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
