Raleigh Arts is seeking an artist that will work with community members, volunteers, and city staff to pull trash out of Walnut Creek and then create an artwork installation out of the collected trash. Trash collection will occur on April 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The artist will be present to explain which types of items in the trash sweep will be useful in creating the artwork. They will work with helpers to clean found materials and then organize found materials for storage at Wetland Center (unless the artist prefers to keep the materials at their studio).
