Free Biodegradable Bags Available for Leaf Pickup

Help keep leaves out of storm drains

The City of Raleigh offers several leaf disposal options to its residents, but would like to make people aware there are also some environmentally friendly alternatives.

  • Mulching
  • Backyard composting
  • Landscape contractors
  • Self-hauling
  • Curbside Yard Waste Services

The City is still offering biodegradable paper bags for leaf collection that can be picked up by Solid Waste Services. These are available for free to residents. Each resident may pick up a free pack of 5 bags from any of the following locations:
