Raleigh Water Recognized with Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies Award for Sustainability

Raleigh Water was recognized by the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies as a sustainable water utility at their annual Executive Management Conference on October 22, 2019.  The award recognizes member utilities that have made a commitment to sustainable management through a triple bottom line approach.  This means winners will have achieved a balance of innovative and successful efforts in areas of economic, social and environmental endeavors, such as responsible management of resources, protection of public health, meeting responsibilities to the community and providing cost effective services to ratepayers.
Established in 1981, the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies is an organization of the largest publicly owned drinking water systems in the United States, whose members  provide drinking water services to over 156 million people.
