The Raleigh Historic Development Commission (RHDC) is preparing a historic context report to identify places important to LGBTQIA+ culture in Raleigh.

1945-1975: The Raleigh Historic Development Commission (RHDC) is preparing a report that will identify places important to Black history and heritage between 1945-1975 in Raleigh.

Government

Budget Priorities Survey

The City invites Raleigh residents to share their views on how limited resources should be allocated in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget. Resident input is an important part of the City’s on-going effort to align City resources with community priorities and ensure equitable outcomes for all Raleighites. The poll can be completed online by clicking here, at engage.raleighnc.gov/budget, or in-person at the Raleigh Municipal Building (222 West Hargett Street).

Latta University Historic Park:

Located in the historic Oberlin Neighborhood, this two-acre site was home to the Reverend M.L. Latta House and University and is now being developed as a park.

Devereux Meadow Park Renaming:

Raleigh Parks invites you to participate in the naming of a future city park.

Glen Eden Park Playground Design:

We're looking for input on preliminary concepts. Glen Eden Park is renovating the playground for 2-5 and 5-12 year-olds.

The Community Connectors pilot program hires residents who have trusted voices within their neighborhood to help expand the reach of Raleigh’s engagement efforts.

The proposed heritage walk will comprehensively tell the story of an important historically Black neighborhood– the South Park neighborhood.

Stormwater

Pigeon House Branch Watershed Study

We are studying the Pigeon House Branch Watershed to identify ways to reduce flooding impacts, renew stormwater pipes and infrastructure that is in poor condition, improve water quality, and repair streambanks within the watershed. Take our survey to provide comments and share your observations about the watershed! 

Transportation

Bus Rapid Transit:

Planning is underway for fast, reliable, frequent service along four key corridors and we expect service to be fully available by 2030.

Lake Wheeler Road Improvement Project Open House
