Residents of Van Dyke Avenue - East Neighborhood
You are cordially invited to the preliminary design meeting concerning traffic-calming measures for Van Dyke Avenue - East.
The City evaluated Van Dyke Avenue – East in response to concerns over speeding traffic. The evaluation resulted in a
score high enough to place the street in the top 15 eligible for traffic calming. Staff met with residents of the street and
neighborhood earlier this year to inform them of the traffic calming process. The residents on the street and surrounding
neighborhood then voted to approve moving forward to the design phase.
The preliminary design meeting is Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Jaycee Community Center, 2405 Wade
Avenue, Raleigh beginning at 7 p.m. The meeting will begin with a short presentation explaining the design process.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the design process by providing feedback on the types of treatments and the
desired location of these treatments.
You are encouraged to attend this meeting.
