Good design for streets and nearby development is essential for BRT to be a success. What does this mean for you? The City will apply a Transit Overlay District (TOD) to the zoning map. This rezoning will support housing affordability and walkability around BRT stations. There will also be a new street design for streets with BRT service to make a special lane for buses. You can learn about these proposed changes at either of two public meetings: The project involves a series of public meetings which the community may attend. The first community meetings were held in November 2021.
