Add to Calendar 2022-04-22 18:00:00 2022-04-22 22:00:00 Earth Day 2022 City of Raleigh Invests in Our Planet Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources is hosting an Earth Day celebration event April 22, 2022, at Flowers Field to celebrate our planet and the many ways the City of Raleigh, city partners, and community invest in our planet all year long. When: April 22, 2022, 6 p.m. Where: Dix Park, Flowers Field. 2105 Umstead Drive, Raleigh, 27603 *Please bring your own water bottle. We will have a water bottle refilling station available for attendees.  Information booths, activities, and food trucks  (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) From 6-8 p.m. Flowers Field will feature information tables, activities, and food trucks. Come play field games, ride a balance bike through a challenge course, touch a truck, grab a bite to eat, learn about pollinators, discover ways to get involved, pick up seed giveaways, and more!  Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for New Electric Bus (6:30 p.m.) What better day to celebrate climate action on Earth Day than to welcome our newest all-electric bus to the Raleigh community! Come join the City and community partners for a ribbon cutting ceremony.  This all-electric bus will be used by the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department to transport Raleigh community members to various community events.  The bus will be available for the community to explore and staff will be available to answer questions. Movie in the Park (8:15 p.m.) As the sun sets, there will be a viewing of Disneynature’s Wings of Life (rated G). We invite families to bring blankets, chairs, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. The movie has a run time of 1 hour and 21 minutes. Come Learn with Us Information tables and activities will feature the following – and more!
