Community Workshop Series: New Bern Avenue

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is coming to New Bern Avenue with ten transit stations planned along the route stretching from Downtown Raleigh to New Hope Road. A multi-week community workshop kicks off Monday, September 20, and will focus on three sections of the New Bern Avenue corridor.

Are you interested in affordable housing near the proposed transit stations? Would you like to have safer, more comfortable places to walk? Do you want to reduce carbon emissions? Would you like to see a grocery store or retail shopping near these stations? Let us know what you want and what you think!

This community engagement opportunity gives people the chance to meet with city planners and consultants to ask questions and share feedback on what they want to see happen around the transit stations planned near their neighborhoods.

There are three week-long workshops, one for each portion of the New Bern corridor. Drop-in during these multi-day events or comment online to brainstorm the future!
