Art Unblocked 2021
March 3 to May 14, 2021

Arts Access, in partnership with the City of Raleigh's Block Gallery, is excited to host an exhibition titled Art Unblocked 2021, featuring works of art created by emerging and established artists with disabilities.

Out of Darkness
September 30, 2020 to February 19, 2021

Featuring seven artists juried by George Jenne, Out of Darkness pays homage to Film Noir. This genre first evolved out of economic necessity following World War II as low to modestly budgeted film projects. The result of working with minimal equipment and resources led to creative experimentation then and now.

Breathe: Life After Death
August 10 to September 18, 2020

Breathe: Life After Death is an exhibition and social exercise featuring four emerging African American North Carolina-based painters. The exhibition explores American life during and after the pandemic, worldwide protests for racial equality and the consequences of social distancing.

Art Unblocked 2020: Online
May to July 2020

Art Unblocked 2020: Online is a Block Gallery exhibition featuring works of art created by emerging and established artists with disabilities. This exhibition was a part of the Arts Access Series of Fortunate Events, May - July 2020.

Creative Quarantine
April 29 to July 3, 2020

Raleigh Arts asked how artists were staying creative during the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders. With over 150 submissions, we chose a select few to share with you to reinforce that we are all in this together. 18 artists were featured virtually in 3 rounds.
