Economic, Business, and Employment COVID-19 Resources

The Office of Economic Development and Innovation commits to supporting Raleigh’s vibrant business community as it responds to the impacts of COVID-19. We are monitoring guidance from federal, state and local public health authorities and resources provided by the State and Federal Government. 

Wake County continues to lead the COVID-19 response and has announced additional resources. The City of Raleigh remains operational, but some services are limited. Visit the City of Raleigh's COVID-19 Response page for more information.  

For Questions Regarding If You Can Be Open for Business:

  • Businesses are encouraged to call 919-856-7420. 
  • The County call center will advise whether they are permitted to operate.
  • For businesses that require additional clarification, or if the business expresses that they want to appeal an answer provided by our call center, businesses will be instructed to email The County will work to answer the inquiry within 24 hours.
