Connect Raleigh: Know Your Water

Oyster farmer Ryan Bethea standing in water on the east coast

In October 2019, water experts from across the state talked about local and global issues with our water resources and drinking water/stormwater infrastructure. The talk focused on water pollution and conserving our natural and man-made water resources.

Three experts shared common challenges, what they’re doing to help, and how you can get involved.

  • Ryan Bethea, Oysters Carolina Harker’s Island (North Carolina Oyster Blueprint)
  • Peter Raabe, American Rivers - Conservation Director, Rivers of Southern Appalachia and the Carolinas
  • Francine Durso – North Carolina Environmental Quality – Division of Water Infrastructure

This event was in partnership with the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.
