Garner Road Sewer Improvements

Improvement project will replace aging materials to meet future infrastructure capacity demand.

Project will provide for sewer infrastructure replacement in the project area as a result of existing infrastructure being found in poor condition. The Project area is East Garner Road from Cofield Aly to 606 East Garner Road. Garner Road is an NCDOT road and lane closures will be coordinated with the Town of Garner.

Construction

Construction is set to begin on March 4, 2024. Residents, businesses, and commuters will notice the contractor mobilizing to the site as well as the staging of pipe, manholes, and equipment in preparation for installation.

Traffic Impacts: 

Traffic Alert: Full Closure of the 800 Block of West Garner Road and the 300 Block of East Garner Road for a Planned Capital Improvement Project

          The City of Raleigh will close the 800 Block of West Garner Road and the 300 Block of East Garner Road, between Benson Road to New Rand Road, Garner NC to eastbound traffic starting Monday May 6, 2024, for a planned capital improvement project. Closure is expected to last for three months, though work schedules are subject to change based on weather and other factors.
