Pullen Park Amusement Center Open House Set For Nov. 12

The City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department is holding an open house for public review of construction documents for the Pullen Park Amusement Center on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The documents are currently 30 percent complete. The open house will be held at the Pullen Community Center, 408 Ashe Ave.  The construction documents are also on display at the Pullen Community Center.

On March 17, the Raleigh City Council approved moving forward from the Design Development Phase to the Construction Document Phase for the Amusement Center Renovations. The adopted Pullen Park Master Plan and the Carousel Task Force Report have provided the background and guiding principles for the Design Development process and will continue into the Construction Document Phase. Renovations of the amusement center include a new carousel house, welcome center, concessions building, restroom, and train station. Site improvements of the center include a new entrance, event spaces, playground, underground utilities and picnic shelters.
