Position Title: Treatment Plant Operator Position Number: 089-09 Closing Date: 7/15/09 Salary Range: $33,490 - $54,735 Department:Public Utilities Division: Wastewater Treatment Plants Location: Smith Creek/Wake Forest
Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of relevant experience. High School Diploma or GED. Grade II Certification. Prefer 3 months experience in wastewater treatment plant operations, supplemented by relevant technical courses. A Valid NC Class "C" Driver License.
Position Duties: Operates and maintains treatement plant equipment, such as filters, thickeners, pumps, belt presses, conveyor systems, air compressors and electric motors. Performs standard chemical and physical test, records meter readings and makes report of operations. Work is performed on an assigned shift, currently (11:30am - 8: 00 pm). Must be available for on-call rotations.
