Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and at least 6 years of relevant experience required.

Position Duties:   Assists the Fire Chief in developing short, mid-term and long range strategic plans to include; preparing the Fire Department for successfully maintaining or improving the current ISO rating,  developing a facility expansion plan to keep pace with the city's annexation and growth rate, and assessing the Fire Department's needs in order to become accredited.  Develops and revises departmental policies and procedures. Researches, investigates and prepares written reports and public presentations on planning policies, and issues and elements of the strategic plan for the city's Fire Department.
