Beginning July 1, the City of Raleigh will adjust parking citation fees to reflect their impact on the community.
City Council approved these changes with the adoption of the fiscal year 2024 budget.
“The goal of these changes is to place different citation types into categories based on their purpose and impact on the community," said Raleigh Parking Manager Matthew Currier. "We’re lowering regulatory fines like expired meters to $15 if paid within 5 days and increasing the amount for the most impactful citations like blocking crosswalks and fire hydrants.”
The chart below shows the new citation amounts including elevated fines for the area around Glenwood South between the times of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
For any questions on the proposed changes, please contact the Raleigh Parking Office at 919-996-3996 or via email at RaleighParking@raleighnc.gov.
